YOUTH PHOTOGRAPHY 101 & PHOTO CLUB - HOME SCHOOLERS: Grades 4-8
Level: Beginner - Intermediate
Former Professional Photographer will teach, direct, and guide every photographer-in-training to feel empowered. All materials are age and grade appropriate for your photographer-in-training, such as:
the history of photography
framing
lighting
various fields in which photography is used
the science of photography
how to compose a photo
the basics for using the student's particular DSLR camera
landscape, portraiture, composition, green screen
judged photography quarterly by art professionals
gallery display of judged photos every quarter in Downtown WF
potential for ribbons for memory recall of prior Photography class
scavenger hunts
guest artists
make friends, learn basic DSLR cleaning through shutter speed... It's all here!
***Meets each other Wednesday (every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays)***
1. Shutter Society: Photography Club for Grades 9-12 (earns ribbons and can be in judged competitions and gallery display, qualifies for field trip(s)) -- MEETS NOON - 1245PM each Wednesday with special "assignments" weekly.
2. Snap Scholars: Photography Club for Grades 4-8 (earns ribbons and can be in judged competitions and gallery display) -- MEETS 11AM - 1145AM every other Wednesday each month (1st & 3rd Wednesdays) with special "assignments" weekly.
REQUIRED:
DSLR Camera (any brand, any age - just functional)
Tablet, smartphone, pc, or laptop access
A good attitude
