Workshop Details:
Discover the art of stamp making and block printing in this hands-on workshop! Whether you love drawing, carving, or printing, this creative experience invites you to explore and create your own custom stamps.
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Timeslots: Saturday, November 29 - 3:00 to 4:00pm and Sunday, November 30 - 3:00 -4:00pm
- Cost: $25
- Skill Level: All levels welcome
- Age Requirement: 12+
- What's Included: All supplies provided, plus admission to the Vancouver Etsy Co Holiday Pop Up Market on both November 29 and 30
What You'll Learn:
Learn the fundamentals of stamp making—a printmaking technique that involves carving a design into rubber, applying ink, and transferring your design onto paper, textiles, or other materials. You'll discover what supplies are needed and master basic carving techniques to create professional-looking stamps.
What You'll Create:
Choose from provided templates (mushroom, fern, and more) or design your own! Carve a stamp up to 1"x2" with the option to create a second stamp during the workshop.
What You'll Use:
All carving and printing supplies provided.
Take Home:
- Your hand-carved stamp(s) and up to three (3) prints.
- Optional: Purchase additional greeting cards and textile pouches to decorate with your newly carved stamps.
