Lion Performance Hall is excited to welcome back this amazing piano and clarinet duo! Join Elena Abend (UW-Milwaukee Piano Faculty) and clarinetist Orlando Pimentel (Adj. Prof. Wisconsin Lutheran College) for a fun & inspiring evening performing Latin American Music for clarinet and piano. This vibrant program celebrates the rich musical voices of South America, featuring works by Paquito D’Rivera, Pablo Ziegler, Pedro Laurenz, Astor Piazzolla, Icli Zitella, Sebastián Díaz Peña, and Ernán López Nussa. Blending classical traditions with spirited rhythms and soulful melodies, this performance offers a journey through the diverse soundscape of the Caribbean to Patagonia.

What a beautiful, new, state-of-the-art venue to see such incredible, accomplished, professional, dynamic, passionate, entertaining musicians Abend & Pimentel… it was a beautiful and unique treat to experience… can’t say enough about every aspect of their performance… we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The Lion PH is a hidden (literally— there is little front lighting and signage) gem in Richfield… even the entrance and bar area are lovely and well done… the exquisite simplicity and acoustics in the intimate hall itself seem second to none…
