Teachers:

Beppe Gambetta is a guitarist, vocalist, researcher and composer born in Genova, Italy who developed a style of concert presentation that brings American and European Roots to speak together with one voice. In his unique approach, Gambetta blends energetic grooves with passionate melodies, giving new life to sources from different times, periods and places. In addition, the original music he composes gives contemporary influences to traditional roots music.

I enjoyed the day very much ! Everyone couldn't be friendlier and helpful. A very relaxed feeling throughout the day. Everything from the venue to the evening concert was enjoyable. I hope to return next year, hopefully with a friend . I could go on,but I'll just add that spending a day with others that share the love of acoustic guitar was deeply gratifying! Thanks to all

The weekend Guitar Summit attendees were presented with a mix of veritable guitar virtuosos. I left the experience with additional knowledge and some new take home skills. The Guitar Summit staff did a great job making sure all aspects of the experience were attended to

It was the shot of inspiration I needed at this point in my guitar playing journey! Met lots of nice people, had fun jamming, and cant wait to practice some of the techniques the wonderful instructors shared. Beppe, Suzie, and Matt were a perfect blend of talent, inspiration and fun! Count me in for next year!

I cant think of a better way to spend the day. Get to play guitar with great instructors all day, do an open mic, hear a great concert and eat good food.

If you're an acoustic guitar player, this event is must-attend. Its maestro, Beppe Gambetta, is a national treasure (of *two* nations) and the teachers are so smart and talented.
I've attended it all three years and it's been amazing (and different) each time.

Great event. We'll organized. Food was excellent and plentiful. Pace was relaxed and without pressure. All three performers/instructors were stellar, as was their concert. A few things i would change: eliminate the q and a session and add that time to the instructional time. Develope specific criteria for level designation and have each participant self evaluate and simply walk into the appropriate room. That would save at least a half hour. Consider having only 2 instructors. Thank you.

Wonderful experience! Great opportunity to improve guitar playing by spending the day with guitarists of all levels. Well organized event, very reasonably priced. Warm inviting atmosphere. Incredibly talented professional artist/ instructors who gave an amazing concert after spending a full day teaching. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I only stayed for 2 sessions because my mother was admitted to hospital a few days and I had to head out early. My mind wasn't into it. But for the time I was there, I picked up 4 new things. So it was ok. But basically missed a lot.

An enjoyable day of instruction, meeting new players, and then the concert.

I’m and experienced, gigging guitarist, and I came away with useful playing tips and got to hear the insights of “next level” performers.

Also the Folk Project volunteers were great!

I was thrilled by the workshops and being able to have conversations with these recording artists and have them teach me their methods. It offered me an experience beyond my wildest dreams. Everyone that attended was friendly and willing to share their expertise. It all makes me look forward to the next summit.
