You don't need to be a pro to get out on the dance floor and move!
From single beginners to accomplished couples, everybody is welcome!
A great variety of big band music from the 50s through now. Polish up your own steps or learn by watching others, with tunes for all dances: rock, swing, latin, tango and pop.
Don't dance (yet)? Then join us for an evening of great music by the Kootenays longest-running dance band (coming up 100 years!) You're sure to hear some of your old and new favorites that will have you tapping your foot and singing along!
But don't delay... Only 100 tickets will be sold! And when they're gone, they're GONE!

Enjoyed the sound of the band. We know several band members so that was nice.When there was speaking it was hard to understand what was being said so maybe have a little tune up on the speaking voice part would be helpful.

Thanks for the feedback, Vic! We had several reports of the singing being okay but the speaking was difficult to hear. We will fix that for next time!

I really enjoyed the variety and quality of the music. The only criticism I have is that there should be more evenings like this. I commend the band for all their hard work!

Top notch event. Great variety of music and singing. Lots of enthusiasm wonderful snacks . We absolutely enjoyed the evening.

Thank you for all of your support, Peter! Yes, we agree that the new ticketing and scanning system certainly had us scrambling, but I think we have mastered it now. Next dance it should work as smooth as silk!

Fantastic old-time dance! Great music and lots of room to move in a lovely venue in Fruitvale. A large group of us travelled happily from Nelson for this dance. And a bonus surprise of delicious snacks. Thank you!

The SwingSations put on an amazing show on March 14! We really enjoyed dancing and listening to the Big Band sound of these talented musicians. How fortunate we are to have them here in the Kootenays
