Spotlight Night

Where can you hear four amazing acts for the price of one? Why, at the Troubadour's highly anticipated Spotlight Nights, of course! This edition features incredibly talented and musically diverse duos and trios from all over North Jersey. But wait, there's more: free food! Arrive at 6:30 and enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres while mingling with old friends and meeting new ones.

The TriSonics play original acoustic instrumentals spanning roots, folk, bluegrass, blues and jazz, featured on their three albums to date. The players are Michael William Levine on Dobro, Don Sarlin on guitar and their newest member Michael Aharon on cello and bass.

Marry The Sea blend lush harmonies with intricate guitar work creating a sound that is both captivating and richly textured. The duo's founding members are Kat De Bari and Rebecca Farnham who sometimes play with a band consisting of a violinist, bassist and drummer to bring their melodies and lyrical musings to life. For this show, the duo will be featuring songs from their eponymous titled debut EP, plus new material from their upcoming EP. Expect an intimate performance as their songs reveal their unique perspectives/experiences on various aspects of life. Their songs evoke wonder and inquiry about our place in the world and the soaring of the creative spirit.

Scott E. Moore is an Americana Soul singer-songwriter and guitarist. His unique blend of roots, folk, and bluesy R&B has put him on stages large and intimate, alongside diverse acts, like blues virtuoso Kelly Joe Phelps, Americana crooner Raul Malo (The Mavericks), Steve Forbert, Rhett Miller (The Ol' 97's), jazz artists Tuck & Patti, French pop star Tété, and at The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival as a guitarist with local legend Paul Sanchez. He has opened for The Smothers Brothers, attended Louis Armstrong's funeral at age five, and is proudly from New Jersey.

Singer/songwriter Meg Beattie Patrick hails from Manhattan and has spent years honing her skills performing varied genres including blues, jazz, R&B, Soul, and indie folk-rock. She performed with bands, trios, duos, and solo in New York City and North Jersey at venues including CBGBs, The Bitter End, Montclair Jazz Festival, Yogi Berra Stadium, and the Montclair Art Museum. Quite recently, Meg was thrilled to perform at Outpost in the Burbs with "DAVE AND THE DIVAS" a live show and studio album produced by Grammy Award winner, David Amlen, who will be accompanying Meg on stage at The Troubadour! Meg opened for John Gorka here at The Folk Project few years ago and is delighted to have been invited back!
