General Admission

You can choose a Dance Lesson spot, which gives you access to the whole event (6:30-9:30), or a Social Dancing spot, which gives you access after the Dance Lesson (7:30-9:30). Grab the Social Dancing spot if the Lesson spots are full or if you're coming after 7:30. No experience needed and no partner required! Just bring yourself and we will take care of the rest 🥰. If no more spots are available, we will have 10 drop in spots at the door!

💃 SALSEO 🎶

Join us for a joyful night of rhythm, movement, and community as we explore the basics of Cumbia in a dance lesson, one of the most beloved Afro-Latinx dances. 🌈

This beginner-friendly class will guide you step by step through the foundations of partner dancing. No experience needed, no judgment, and no fixed gender roles. Come solo or with a friend! We’ll rotate partners for those who wish to do so, so everyone gets a chance to connect, learn, and move together.

Once the lesson is over, we will open the dance floor. We will have the bar open, music by SimonSimon, and amazing vibes. Expect cumbia, salsa, merengue and bachata ✨

✨ What to expect:

Easy-to-follow 1 hour lesson on Cumbia basics
Partner dance practice in a safe, welcoming environment
A space free of gender roles, anyone can lead or follow!
Open social dancing time after the lesson.

I loved it!! I have been wanting to go to a salsa class but was always a bit intimidated by the straightness of it and absolutely loved how queer this one was it just felt so safe comfortable and SO SO fun!!! Absolutely going to try to go to the other ones

I had SO much fun at Salseo’s Cumbia class. The environment was positive and welcoming. I learned and also laughed so much! I’ll be back again for sure.

Now THIS! is community building !!

This event is such an incredible queer space. The instructors are so nice, and really have the ability to put you at ease in your own body. Just a couple minutes in to the warm-up they had everyone giggling and moving and shaking! Can't wait to be at the next one and see what Salseo does next!
