Join us for a dynamic and immersive percussion workshop with Tristan Butler, leader of Timba Británica!
Tristan will guide us through the essential rhythms of salsa percussion, breaking down the beats that make this music so dynamic. Whether you're a dancer, musician, or simply love Latin music, this is your chance to deepen your understanding of salsa’s rhythmic foundation.
This interactive workshop will take you on a journey through the core instruments and rhythms that bring salsa to life. You'll get hands-on experience playing clave, guiro, campana, bongos, congas, and maracas, exploring how each instrument contributes to the layered, vibrant sound of salsa. By the end, you'll have a new appreciation for the intricate grooves that drive the dance floor!
No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm! If you have your own percussion instruments, feel free to bring them along.
