ROGER SANCHEZ : White Rabbit + Off Grid at GRIDWRKS

Roger Sanchez was off the charts. Wicked.
Sticky dance floor, and if you arrive early, the venue smells bad. Real bad. Like someone's supper was cleaned up off the floor. The light show was sub-par. The guy was busy chatting and not paying attention. The lighting could have been a whole lot better. I'm still glad I went.

- bathrooms are in a bad location cause you need to walk past the dense crowd by the stage to get there so creates a lot of bumping and rubbing
- there was a strong smell right from the start of the night like puke
- otherwise, all good. Had a great time

It was my first time at Gridworks Ottawa, and I was seriously impressed. The layout was easy to navigate, with great accessibility to the washrooms and the raised section behind the DJ booth. The laser light show was incredible — I couldn’t get enough of it.

The DJ booth is immersed in the crowd, so it feels like you’re dancing with the DJ. Bar service was quick, prices were great (only $4 for water!), and non-alcoholic drinks were easy to get and well-priced.

Security was friendly, organized, and handled the small ticket-check delay professionally. Washrooms stayed clean all night, and there were never any lineups. The crowd was a perfect mix of straight and LGBTQ+ folks, all chatting and vibing together. The atmosphere was SYCK as "If You Seek Amy”.x

BRINK (White Rabbit) absolutely set the tone for the night. His set built the energy perfectly — every transition lifted the crowd higher. By the time Roger Sanchez took over, the bar was already sky-high, but he met it effortlessly and kept pushing it further. Roger’s set was powerful, smooth, and relentless from start to finish. You could feel everyone in the room locked in the same rhythm.

Gridworks matched everything I love about City — flawless organization, amazing sound, and a truly inclusive vibe. Huge props to everyone who made this event happen.

Thank you to everyone in front of house and back of house for making this event truly memorable. I couldn't imagine the work to coordinate everything I couldn't say enough good things about the evening.
