Great event as usual. Staff was friendly. The only negative was having to pay for parking.
Such a super fun event! Thank you to everyone who is able to bring games and to the hosts of the event. This was our 3rd year attending and we have always had such a great time :)
Seemed like there weren’t as many pinballs. No twilight zone, safecracker, only 1 Addams family and it was down as was midevil madness. I could go on but you get the idea. New Elvira is boring. Sorry to be so negative but I’ve been coming for years and I drive 3-4 hrs round trip to get there. Always been great but this year seemed lacking. Also , what’s with the pay parking? A little heads up on that would have been nice. Hopefully next year will be back up to the great show it’s always been. Thanks for doing it to whomever sets it up!
I enjoyed myself for many hours Saturday. I do wish it was priced more affordable to folks on fixed incomes, 45$ is steep when you add gas and tournaments costs.
I found some of the machines were outdated and not in vest working order.
Overall, it was a well organized event, staff friendly and helpful...especially volunteer Lisa (Simpson).
I will sign up to volunteer for next years event.
This was the first time attending for my friend and I who are super into pinball. Paying for parking is super sh*tty. The fee for the day is already steep and you're going to charge for parking in a commercial/residential tech center? Stupid and greedy.
Having been to other shows, this one puzzled me. The space was too cramped for any amount of line for any game. Also though it was odd NO manufacturers were there, only dealers. To only have 1 copy of some new popular games was not cool. I'm not even talking about Avatar. That looked lame and I am not waiting 15 minutes to play it. Should have had 3 or 4 copies. If this was $20 or $25 for the day I would complain less. But you want tip top pricing, you provide a top experience. I went home having fun, but really didn't play much on the machines I wanted to. I played a lot of stuff no one else wanted to play though. But was that worth the cost? ehhhh. I definitely didn't think it was an amazing deal considering everything you had to deal with.
Get some better vendors, get some artists, get some people who sell mods. I love game exchange too but that was definitely meh. And should be in a separate room, or the hallways.
We had a lot of fun.
I have attended all 20 of your pinball showdowns, and will continue to attend as long as you have them. I do have a couple suggestions about future showdowns. I am getting older and have two different levels with speakers at different end and out of the way tournament location was confusing and challenging for me. Was glad the electrical problems were solved early. And fianally if you continue at this location maybe having signs pointing out where to go and even where elevators are for us older attendees.
I really hope you could hold a little bit earlier in year to avoid college and Bronco games.
New venue was not great, and day 1 was riddled worth power issues early on. I was also not thrilled to lose the early play time with the gamer package like previous years, so I opted for a single day pass. The options next year will decide whether I attend again or not.
Had a great time minus some asshole that kept trying to kick me off a game, threatening to get management to unplug the game.
Love pinball. Fun event. New venue for 2024: better location, weird logistics in this particular hotel. Organizer communications leave lots to be desired. Still, worth it.
