Uphill Game is an absolutely cracking contemporary jazz quartet led by double-bassist Riaan Vosloo, and features the superb drummer Matt Brown plus the legendary Get The Blessing horn section of Jake McMurchie on saxophone and Pete Judge on flugelhorn. Riaan's choice of tunes, including his own beguiling originals, is always a delight and a surprise, and the band's obvious synergy belies their infrequent get-togethers.
