First time attending the event and it was great to be in a space where I felt represented. The food was great, loved having food from other Central American countries as well. My wife and I really enjoyed all the vendors , picked up some awesome jewelry. The contests were fun, specially since I won a t shirt. The music was definitely my favorite time of the event, so much fun!
The $30 general entrance fee did not really match up with the experience. Too much money without it including at least a drink or something. The food was okay but again with a baseline entrance fee of 30 and so many things being sold, I suppose banking on the value of the speakers and music was also what one was paying. However, this also wasn't up to par because there was a lack of comfort. It was extremely hot and this is fairly predictable but seating was extremely limited. Vendors had plenty of shade but people who paid were left to hang out in the heat as there were very few tables and seats in the hot sun. Also, beverages were pretty much limited to a couple of vendors...with vendors selling food not selling water? Overall, fairly disappointing. I"m Salvi and rarely go to events like this; next time I think I will go to a free community event for similar food and music. I paid for 4 tickets total and it was uncomfortable enough for us to leave early. P.S. the kids section was bare minimum with kids left to themselves to color (I pulled out papers for some kids while the one person there was painting faces and tattoos) and minimal additional engagement.
First time my husband and I attended & we took our 2 small kids and moms. Loved the variety of vendors to explore and the lineup of events including meeting Chef Dafne and her going against my husband in a platano eating contest! Got VIP which was nice to explore before GA and got some nice goodies to take! Arrived at 130p and didn't think we'd stay until the end, but we DID! First ones to arrive, last to leave. :) it was filled with fun things for all ages and my kids enjoyed the art section and got to meet Bluey! Our moms danced and loved the Cachiporistas! The few things that could improve is the beer garden. The original menu of drinks sold out real quick. They did restock with other options, but would have been nice to enjoy more of the original picks. Also, the heat was real! Any consideration in doing in early summer/late spring? Besides that it was a memorable experience and the founder and the volunteers were so lovely and kind! A big hug to all! 🇸🇻
Great event. Would have loved more vendors for drinks/refreshments due to long lines out in the sun. More shading would have been great. Food and drinks were great. Vendors amazing and staff were wonderful. Overall we had an amazing time.
Great food. Great vendors.
