PNA Pisanki Workshop 2
Description
Please join us for PNA's Pisanki Workshop 2, sponsored by the Polish Heritage Association of Maryland (PHAM). This very special price is made possible by financial support from PHAM through a grant from the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. The event will be led by Krystyna Osowska. Participants will be taught the traditional techniques of creating decorated Easter eggs using beeswax and styluses to apply designs to eggs, which are then dipped in various colored dyes. The workshop focuses on the historical and cultural significance of Pisanki, providing instruction on traditional patterns and methods. Participants may be any skill level, from beginners learning basic techniques to experienced artists working on more complex designs. The environment will be collaborative, with participants sharing techniques and offering assistance. Open to all, ages 6 and up. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies will be provided, as will light fare and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar is also available.
