Come explore the beach below the Historical Society at low tide with Jennifer Booher,
an artist, naturalist and historian with 25 years of experience in the local intertidal area.
Jenn will answer your questions about the animals, plants, and history of the Bar Harbor
waterfront, and demonstrate ways to photograph your finds in elegant or whimsical
compositions using your camera phone. You’ll take home a 4x6 print of your favorite
photo from the workshop. This is a low-tech class that anyone can enjoy. All ages are
welcome, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and participants will
need to climb down a small hill to the beach. The shore is rocky and muddy, please
wear appropriate shoes, bring sun protection, and water.
