Phx Pride and The Pemberton Mr and Miss Pemberton Pageant Premliniaries

Contestants Requirements:

 Miss, Mister, and Mx. Contestants must be at least 21 years of age. Jr Contestants

must be 14-20 years of age. All backup dancers/dressers must be at least 18 years of

age. Contestants and backup dancers/dressers must be able to present valid

identification upon request, and all CONTESTANTS must also be a resident of

Maricopa County. Dressers/Dancers may live outside of Maricopa County.

 Contestants in the Pageant must pre-qualify by successfully competing and

obtaining a preliminary Title, from a qualifying preliminary.

 All contestants in the Pageant must be on time AND checked in and able to meet

all meeting and rehearsal requirements, NO EXCEPTIONS!! Contestants that are

more than 5 minutes late for any meeting, rehearsal, orientation, etc. will incur a 5-

point administrative deduction for each occurrence. These administrative

deductions will be taken from your total score. Absences will be grounds for

dismissal from the Pageant upon determination from the Pageant Directors and/or

Executive Director.

 Each contestant is required to participate in the opening number of the Pageant

and must be present for all scheduled rehearsals. The contestant will also be

responsible for obtaining the assigned costume.

 The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs will not be tolerated while a

contestant is participating in the Pageant, this includes Dancers and

Dressers/Assistants.

 Any contestant or contestant’s dancer, dresser, etc. who are caught stealing or

tampering with another person’s property will be immediately disqualified from the

Pageant and removed from the location.

 Any person found ineligible to compete by the Pageant Directors and/or Executive

Director will not be allowed to participate in any aspect of the Pageant, including,

but not limited to services as an entertainer, emcee, judge, dresser, or contestant.

 Contestants that are announced and do not compete for the title of Miss & Mister

Phoenix Pride will not be eligible to compete again until any funds obtained

through fundraising be turned into Phoenix Pride Executive Director or Pageant

Director(s) AND a 1 Year ineligibility to compete. Ineligibility may be extended or

excused at the discretion of the Phoenix Pride Executive Director and/or Pageant

Directors.
