Please join us for the 2nd Annual UkeFest on the Fox River. It's a day-long celebration of all things Ukulele. Workshops, Concerts, Play-a-longs, Fun and Camaraderie, all on the shore of the Fox River at the Oshkosh Senior Center!
Jonathan Piercy Workshops
- UNDER THE COVERS WITH JONATHAN (All Levels) Sure, you can play that song, but how do you make it yours? Jonathan will give you all the playing and performance tips you’ll need to win your next open mic. (It’s always a contest.) Learn to dress up your chords, manage dynamics, flirt with the audience, and more. And if you’re brave, bring a cover of your own and we’ll punch it up in real time!
- CHICKA CHICKA WOW: THE ESSENTIALS OF FUNK UKULELE (Intermediate level—requires a fairly confident barre chord) Are you funky enough? You will be! Jonathan will unlock the secrets of left-hand muting, and you’ll chick, chunk, and choke your way to a more rhythmic style of playing. And it’s not just for the Prince and P-Funk fans—these techniques will make you the star of your jam no matter what songs you’re playing.
