Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee Nathan Stanley is the grandson of the late, great Dr. Ralph Stanley and was the final lead singer for the Clinch Mountain Boys. This concert is a remarkable tribute to Ralph Stanley, who is part of the first generation of bluegrass musicians and was inducted into both the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor and the Grand Ole Opry. Born on February 25, 1927, in rural Virginia, Stanley rose to prominence as a founding member of the Stanley Brothers alongside his brother Carter Stanley. Together, they helped define the “high lonesome sound” that became a cornerstone of bluegrass music.
