For the first time in Tucson, the Agave Heritage Festival partners with Mexico in a Bottle, the nationally recognized tasting event founded by Susan Coss and Max Garrone to celebrate the craft, culture, and community behind Mexico’s most distinctive spirits.
An evolution of the festival’s signature Agave Fiesta, this expanded experience brings together producers, importers, educators, and enthusiasts for an evening dedicated to the depth and diversity of Mexico’s spirits traditions. Guests will explore dozens of artisanal and ancestral expressions including mezcal, tequila, bacanora, sotol, raicilla, rum, gin, and other regional distillates, poured by the brands and representatives who steward them.
More than a tasting, Mexico in a Bottle invites guests to connect directly with the people and stories behind each bottle. Throughout the evening, participants can engage with producers and experts while learning about agave varietals, traditional production methods, regional terroir, and the cultural traditions that shape these spirits.
The event also features agave cocktails, music by Old Paint Records and DJ Monobiche, and bites from local chefs, creating a lively atmosphere that reflects the flavors and creative energy of the Sonoran Desert and the broader Mexico–U.S. borderlands.
Guests can also explore the Tiendita, a small marketplace featuring local artists and organizations connected to the culture and landscapes of the region.
Rooted in education, transparency, and celebration, Mexico in a Bottle offers a rare opportunity to experience the vibrant culture of Mexican spirits while meeting the producers and brands shaping its future.

Interesting location, incredible variety and number of agave spirits
My husband and I had such a great time at the Agave Festival on Saturday night! The selection of tequilas was incredible, and we loved getting to chat with the different vendors—learned so much along the way. The space was perfect too, with plenty of room to mingle and really enjoy the experience. Looking forward to the next one!

Great venue with well known and lesser known brands with a few notable families represented. Both high end offerings as well as the more commonly acquired mezcals were available for tastings.
Additionally a Mariachi band, Mexican foot trucks and vendors provided an overall festive atmosphere.
Ticketing and security were efficient and smooth throughout.
Highly recommend and would attend again.
Really enjoyed the Agave vendors, food was pretty good.
Found the event informative and a lot of fun.
Parking was a bit of a nightmare.
Vendors and consumers alike seemed to have an excellent time at this event. Many vendors were amazed at the high density of consumers versus industry visitors, and this event was much more organized than noche de mezcal the previous night. Some vendors were still a little confused on the drink tabs from the wrist bands but overall everything went very smoothly and staff and vendors understood the process much better.
The addition of food trucks from within the city also was a good way to incorporate local food talent and give many kitchens to keep up with visitors.
Great event at good location. Just need a lesser price for designated driver.
Excellent festival well run and had great representation of the agave community.
The event was great but the venue could’ve been better.
