Mackinac Island Road Trip

For centuries, visitors have found Mackinac Island to be the ideal vacation spot! Join WQLN on a Road Trip to this beautiful island June 4-8, 2024 for a wonderful four-night getaway. We will leave WQLN for Frankenmuth, MI, and enjoy shopping in down Frankenmuth (including Bronner's Christmas Wonderland) that evening. Dinner will be at the delicious Zehnder’s for a fabulous chicken dinner with all the fixins! The cozy Bavarian Inn on the banks of the Cass River will host us for one night. In the morning, we will try our hands at rolling pretzels like German bakers and enjoy our tasty treats on the bus as we head to Mackinac Island. While on the island, we will spend three fantastic nights at the award-winning Mission Point Resort on the shores of Lake Huron. Highlights include a garden tour of Mission Point, carriage tour of Mackinac Island, and lunch at the famed Grand Hotel. You will also have some time on your own to explore the island. On our last day, as we make our way back to Erie, we will visit the Henry Ford Museum. You can experience one of the largest collections of its kind ever assembled and learn about breakthroughs big and small that have made our world what it is today. We will dine at Ford’s Garage before waving goodbye to Michigan and driving home to Erie.

Deposits (1/2 of total payment) due at time of registration, remaining payments due April 30, 2024.

Please choose one of the following for each member of your party: 

• Frankenmuth Combination: Sample portions of Frankenmuth chicken, Jager Schnitzel (breaded pork), and Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef). Served with Kartoffelkaseknodel (potato cheese puffs).
• Bavarian Combination: Sample portions of Jager Schnitzel (breaded pork), Kasseler Rippchen (smoked pork loin), and Sauerbraten (marinated roast beef). Served with Kartoffelkaseknodel (potato cheese puffs).
• Sausage Duo Plate: Knackwurst (pork and beef sausage) & Bratwurst (pork sausage). Served with Kartoffelkaseknodel (potato cheese puffs).

Vegetarian Options 

• Black Bean Burger: Zwerk Farms black bean burger topped with mixed greens, tomato, pickle, red onion, and smoked Gouda cheese. Served on a pretzel bun with French fries.
• Vegan Chili: A hearty and healthy blend of sweet potatoes, quinoa, beans, and vegetables in a seasoned roasted vegetable and tomato stock topped with sliced avocado.

All the rooms at Mission Point are lovely and preferences are based on availability, party size, and any special accommodation. We have a set number of rooms in each category and will do our best to match your party with your request, but final selections are determined by WQLN staff. The options are below, you can pick your preference when purchasing tickets.
