Join us on Friday, November 6 at 10:30 AM for a morning of play, creativity, and connection at ODC Rabbit River Nature Preserve
At Little Buds, we believe children learn best through open-ended, child-led play. Our pop-up play experiences give little ones and their grown-ups space to slow down, explore together, and build community while learning through curiosity and imagination.
What to Expect
We’ll create a mix of indoor and outdoor invitations to explore, with thoughtfully prepared materials that encourage children to:
• Get hands-on with sensory-rich and messy play
• Create, experiment, and make their own discoveries
• Build fine motor skills through hands-on activities
• Practice problem-solving, early math, and language skills through play
• Follow their curiosity and explore at their own pace
• Connect with other children and grown-ups in a welcoming environment
Each Little Buds experience is intentionally simple but thoughtfully designed. There’s no right way to play—just plenty of opportunities for children to wonder, create, try something new, and learn along the way.
Why play-based learning?
What looks like “just playing” is actually full of learning. Open-ended play supports early literacy and math, problem-solving, motor development, language, creativity, independence, and confidence—all while children are doing what they do best: playing.
Ages: Best suited for 1.5–6 years
*Please note:Some activities may include small loose parts. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver throughout the program.
What to wear:
We’ll be spending time both indoors and outside, weather permitting. Dress for the weather and choose play clothes that can handle a little mess!
Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and let’s play. 🌿
