Leicester Cha Raja - Ganesh Visarjan 2023

The UK's biggest Ganesh Visarjan returns for a bigger and better event for all friends and family with a day of live music, dancing, food, drinks and leisure activities.

This year's Visarjan will take place at Southend on Sea, boasting a large seafront and the WORLD'S LONGEST PIER (1.33 miles long) which can accommodate large groups of people. All tickets include transport to and from Leicester, breakfast, lunch and leisure time.

All tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be reserved.

The Visarjan procession will commence at 8:30 AM at Shri Guru Ravidass Temple in Leicester where we will start the day with a farewell puja and havan. This will be followed by a short procession before boarding the coaches to Southend on Sea. Upon arrival, we will make our way to a designated area at the seafront reserved for our group where further bhajans and dancing will take place. We will then make our way to the shore where all devotees will be grouped at the edge of the seafront to experience the Visarjan from a safe location. To complete the day a hot meal will be provided followed by some leisure activities.

Ticket Price: £25.00 per person. Children aged 3 or below travel for free. Children aged 3 or below will be required to sit with their parent/guardian.

FOR THE RETURN JOURNEY WE AIM TO RETURN TO LEICESTER AT APPROX 8:00 PM.

Due to Southend on Sea City Council's regulations, individuals are not permitted to bring their own idols from home and immerse into the river. Failing to adhere to these rules will result in a fine from the Council.

Please note, only ticket holders will be permitted to enter the area reserved for our group at Southend on Sea. This is to ensure we are running our event in compliance with Southend on Sea City Council's regulations. Any non-ticket holders will be denied entry.
