Description
Kristen is a drummer, percussionist, writer and educator based in Los Angeles. Known for her impeccable time, feel-good pocket, and powerful yet tasteful touch, she holds degrees from both Berklee College of Music and California Institute of the Arts. Her performing career balances live drumming and touring (with artists including BØRNS, Cam, Scary Pockets, Ella Vos, and others) with studio drumming for records (including BØRNS' platinum-selling "Electric Love") and TV (including Bob's Burgers, Uncoupled, and A Million Little Things). Her passion for education has led her to write for drumming magazines including Modern Drummer, Drumset Magazine, and TomTom Mag, create collegiate-level curriculum, and maintain an extensive private student roster. She has also been featured in Modern Drummer magazine and was nominated in the "Up and Coming" category of the Modern Drummer Readers Poll.
She is endorsed by Tama, Paiste, Remo heads and percussion, and Vic Firth.
In her clinic, Kristen will break down and discuss her approach to:
