Description
Join us on the frozen Red River at Selkirk Park for our annual family friendly ice fishing derby to raise money for the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. All ages are welcome! Must have a ticket to attend.
Prizes guaranteed for Top 10 Fish (open to all ages) and Top 5 Kid's Fish (not included in the Top 10) Winner must be in attendance and have fish slip present to collect prize.
All tickets purchased are entered to win random draw prizes on derby day. You do not need to be in attendance to win random draw prizes. Costs incurred in prize delivery are the responsibility of the winner.
First 600 kid tickets in attendance will receive a free rod & reel combo.
Enjoy a complimentary hot lunch with donation!
Gates open at 8am, derby starts at 10am. No fishing allowed before 10am. Tents can be set up at 8am upon entrance.

This was a fantastic event! Easy to get to, even when parking further way the shuttle system was amazing. Look forward to attending in the future and supporting such a worth while cause.

The kid fish was great experience.loved seeing so many families with kids of all ages coming out in damn cold temperatures and having a great time. I highly recommend this event to everyone!

What a great experience that ehybput on for the kids what a great cause the food was good entertainment was great the volunteers all give ur selves a pat on the back great job guys be back next year

Extreme temperature warnings made it hard to safetly enjoy this event. Unless you had a tent it was unsafe. Family events especially ones devoted to kids should have a been postponed .

Wonderful experience! Felt so welcome even as rookies!Kids dance party was a great way for them to get moving despite the cold! Food tent had great options! The on-ice volunteers that helped us collapse our new tent never gave us a hard time jokingly or otherwise. A great experience overall!! Thank you!!

It was a Great Day!!! Loads of activates for the youth! Lots of Give aways for the youth.
Great food tent!!! all around a great day! Lots of fish being caught!!! this is a must for next year, as it for a great cause!!!! Keep up the great work!!! NO Disappointments, only Mother Nature could have been a little milder.

Very well organized. Kids had tons of fun and kept them entertained the whole day. Great food selection. Tons of volunteers and very friendly. Lots of prizes drawn throughout the day. Definitely recommend to any families. Will definitely be doing this every year going forward with our kids. Thanks again to all the staff and volunteers.
