Enhance your artistic journey by joining us every Wednesday for homeschool art classes through multiple art disciplines and mediums. Each session offers a valuable opportunity to hone your skills across various disciplines, including brushstroke techniques, art history insights, craft projects, and photography. Embrace the chance to discover the artist within you.

Each month will have four (4) weeks of classes encompassing a new discipline in ART, ART HISTORY, CRAFTS, and PHOTOGRAPHY week over week.

MAY THEME: Mythical Creatures:

Week One: ART - Learn additional basics of canvas art through acrylic painting medium and/or through colored pencils. Basic brush names, brushstrokes will be taught, and your own unique mythical creature canvas painting will be completed and ready to go after class! Future classes may include resin, pour painting, watercolors, and pastels.

Week Two: ART HISTORY - uncover the greats and the not-so-famous artists through the years and genres. May's Art History will focus on Frank Frazzetta, Michaelangelo, and others! This Art History class will complement the prior week's canvas abstract painting using PASTELS.

Week Three: CRAFTS - time to use your hands and imagination! Students will work with resin molds to create vibrant craft of mythical creatures.

Week Four: PHOTOGRAPHY - young artists-in-training should bring their DSLR camera with them to class this day. We will work on learning the different types of DSLR camera bodies and formulate a class plan for student's individual and classroom interests such as green screen techniques, lighting, photo editing, and much more!

ART FAIR EXHIBIT:

Every fifth Wednesday, students will have the opportunity to showcase their favorite artwork in a gallery-style exhibition at the studio, reminiscent of a Science Fair but for art. The artworks will be evaluated through independent peer reviews, online polls, and by local artists, with ribbons awarded to standout pieces. Children can choose whether or not to offer their items for sale at the Art Fair, empowering them with the decision.

Coming in June: watercolors!
