There's a certain kind of pride that only comes from knowing exactly where your food was grown — and often, knowing the hands that grew it. On August 7th Hill Country Cider House invites you to Grown Local, a supper devoted entirely to the small farms, orchards, and boutique ranches of Texas.
Every ingredient on the table has a story and a hometown. The meat comes from ranchers who raise their animals the slow way. The vegetables and fruit come from growers who work small acreage with big care. And the evening's most special pour is one we've never offered before: a limited cider pressed from apples grown right here in Comfort — fruit from our own backyard, in your glass, likely for one night only.
This isn't farm-to-table as a buzzword. It's a seat at the table with the people and places that feed the Hill Country. Between courses, we'll share the stories behind the ingredients — who grew them, where, and why small Texas agriculture is worth celebrating and worth protecting.
As always, we'll dine together at communal tables under the Comfort sky, with thoughtfully paired Hill Country Cider House pours alongside each course, unhurried conversation, and the kind of hospitality that can't be shipped in from anywhere.
Come taste what Texas grows.
