Description
Serbia, late summer 1943. British General Charles Armstrong, the new head of Allied military missions, arrives at the Supreme Command of the Royal Yugoslav Army (Draza's Chetniks). His arrival heralds good news: the imminent capitulation of Italy and the landing of the Western Allies on the Adriatic Sea. The Chetniks launch major operations against the Germans and the Ustasha, in order to facilitate the Allied invasion. It was the largest anti-Axis operation in Europe, outside the Eastern and Western Fronts. However, the Allies do not land, and General Armstrong issues a series of ultimatums to General Draza Mihailovic. The confrontations between the two generals - one representative of a great power and the other a relatively small country - reveal the root cause of the outcome of the war in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. At the battle front, the Chetniks encounter an increasing number of enemies: German and Ustasha reinforcements, the Muslim Legion, the Partisans...
