Workshop brought to you by El Centro de las Americas and Tobacco Free Lancaster County. This workshop is based on the work of Dr. Roberto Dansie, hosted by the mother-daughter duo Cultural Wisdom Co-Founder Theresa “Tessa” Dansie and Director of Community Engagement Emily Dansie. This presentation will focus on integrating the four elements of cultural wisdom — Consciousness, Conduct, Culture, and Community — to address diverse topics such as health equity, tobacco addiction, intergenerational communication, and more. This full-day workshop aims to enhance cultural competency and provide participants with tools to foster effective cross-cultural partnerships and develop trauma-informed, mindful, and emotionally intelligent responses.

Theresa "Tessa" Dansie is a Co-founder of Cultural Wisdom, Health Equity Ambassador for Stanford School of Medicine, and an expert in community health, rural farmworker health, and intergenerational poverty.

Emily Dansie is the Executive Director of Community Engagement for Cultural Wisdom, Health Equity Ambassador for Stanford School of Medicine, and advocate for community resiliency.
