Doña Maraca: Queer Salsa Courses

Doña Maraca is BACK! 

Join us for 4-week-long queer-centred progressive salsa courses 

✨ Two levels:
Beginner: no experience needed
Improver: for dancers with some salsa experience (basic steps and turns)

NEW THIS TIME: Between our classes is a free 30-minute practice time where you can come and practice things from class. We'll put on a playlist, and will be around if you have any questions.

Spaces are limited due to venue size and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Policy for Progressives

Refunds & Cancellations: Refunds must be initiated more than 7 days before the start date. Processing fees are non-refundable. Transfers to another person before the course starts may be permitted with admin approval.

Level Placement: Participants are responsible for enrolling in the appropriate level. Instructors may recommend a level change after the first class. Please let us know if you have any questions about what level to enrol.

We aim to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safer space for all participants. Discriminatory, harassing, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove participants without refund if behaviour compromises safety or community care.

Media & Photography: Our classes will be photographed or filmed for promotional use. Please notify us in advance if you do not wish to appear in any material.
