Cyanotype, also call sun-printing, is an early photographic process that produces blue and white prints. During this 3-hour class, you’ll scan two family photos or documents and make negatives from them using a free online program, then use the cyanotype process to print them onto cotton fabric, ready to use in your quilting or sewing projects. You will need a laptop or tablet to make the negatives, or you can bring your own negatives. There will be a lot of movement between indoor and outdoor workstations - if you have any mobility challenges please let us know so we can accommodate you. While this workshop is an introduction to cyanotype, all levels of experience are welcome to come and experiment.
