Botanical Seals: Hand-Printed Holidays

Get a head start on the season of giving! Inspired by ancient Pre-Columbian cylinder seals, we’ll create our own repeating patterns to produce personalized wrapping paper and holiday cards. Using recycled materials and botanical motifs, we are going to combine history with hands-on creation. This is a relaxed, fun space to learn, explore, and connect with nature. All materials included. No prior experience is necessary.

Wednesday, January 20, 10am-12pm

Capturing the beauty of trees in winter

Let's chase the winter blues away by creating our own nature-inspired prints, based on the trees— textures of trunks and branches in the Gardens. Let the beauty of nature in winter wash away the stress of the holidays. During 2 hours of exploration, we will discover and learn different relief printmaking techniques to create greeting cards and postcards inspired by trees. No prior experience is needed!

All materials included. Classes are $35. These workshops are for adults and taught by Sol Gómez. Please register by 12pm the Monday before class.
