My wife and I enjoyed the Friday evening tour. As a youngster in the ‘60s she was a frequent patron of the Columbia. But this was the first time I had ever been inside.
In recent years I would drive by the theatre with great curiosity. I did my homework on the history of the Columbia as well as the other nearby theatres. I had always hoped for public tours. And presto! The opportunity presented itself.
I’m a member of the Paducah Ambassadors and much of what I do is driven by my curiosity, respect and love of Paducah’s rich history. Recently, I was given the honor of serving as the “Captain “ of the Ambassador Tour Guides.
Suffice to say the Columbia tour has equipped our guides with new, meaningful information. Many thanks!

Would have liked more details on plans for theatre in the future. Seems to still be undecided.
