Awesome show! I think it would have been better in a larger spot. Everyone wanted to dance. It was intimate but this is music everyone wants to be up and dancing! The sound was amazing-just perfect! Seemed like a nice reunion for local musicians! I am so glad I went!
Excellent concert. When buying the ticket, it could be clarified that one's name will be at the door instead of trying to print anything out or scan a code. When entering the Armory, there was no direction to where it was being held. I almost left thinking I had the date wrong. Very satisfying music. The Verhenyen band was top-notch. If Carl is among the ten best guitarists in the country, Jeff is among the eleven best.
Outstanding musicians both from a technical perspective and having the “feel”— that spark that elevates the audience . . . as if everyone was on stage playing with them.
If you want to know what it’s like being in a state of flow (and I’m not pertaining strictly to musicianship) go see either of these guys. But don’t just watch and listen . . . communication isn’t limited only to the channels of the body. Open yourself up.
Amazing musicianship. One of the best shows I have been to in my 13 years in Ashland. Great sound. Deserved a much larger audience.
