I loved the event. Seeing so many book lovers from around Louisiana. The only thing I say is maybe go for a larger venue and get some volunteers to sign up to help with line maintenance and flow throughout the venue. Also, potentially having more food venues.

Overall, it was cool! Would love the chance to see more authors talk.

Tickets were easy to purchase. Although the contents of our email disappeared & I thought our tickets were lost, once I contacted the sponsors, my tickets were emailed to me.

Definitely needs more food options and seating. I know it wasn’t meant for kids but mine didn’t want to stay longer than 20 minutes. More variety in book types would be nice also, was looking for more fantasy/sci fi maybe some manga.

The concept was magnificent, the execution was lacking.

I wanted to love this event and i did enjoy myself but it was so packed that it was hard to look around. Or feel comfortable.
I bought my tickets in February but still waiting in line over an hour and a half even though we arrived promptly around 1115. We would have gotten in line earlier but the parking was almost non existent. Also, there was only 1 person checking everyone in.

So, the event itself should have been wonderful. It was perfect for book lovers but maybe don't be greedy next time and re open sold out tickets multiple times?

Loved the book fest. Knowing it was the 1st one there is kinks to work out. My biggest complaint is the location isn’t big enough to house everyone inside or the parking. It really needs to be held at a location like Lamar Dixon in Gonzales. There is plenty of room for the vendors to space out and not be on top of each other and we would have more shopping room inside the vendor area. There was some booths we didn’t even get to check out because it was so crowded and couldn’t get into it.
We did stay in line for 1hr waiting to get in. That was a tad bit long of a wait. Hopefully a new technique can be figured out before next year so it won’t take so long to get in. Like I said earlier this was the first year and I can’t wait to go to many more.

On another note can you find some more authors that write thriller type books for the other crowd. It would be great to have more of those there as well

See yall next year

My mom and I came out and had a great time. We arrived on time but waited in line about an hour and a half. The line wrapped around the street onto the next street which was a little sketchy. Parking was absolutely horrific! Upon entering we immediately became so excited and ready! It was very packed, tons of people and vendors, like rubbing shoulders while waking packed. Thankfully around 2-3pm it started to calm down and we were able to see everything, well what was left. Overall it was a great experience I just hope next year they figure out the parking, lines and overall wait times.

Loved the VIP experience. I didn't know about the coupons in goodie bag, not sure if I missed a post on socials. Person handing put bags could have said something. Loved the set up. Tattoos is pretty cool too but I think it took up too much space. Loved the variety of vendors, not just books but the holistic booths too!! Can't wait for next one!

I really enjoyed this event. I only wish there were more books and authors in the historical fiction category.
