It's one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the season and the local derby between AFC Portchester and Fareham Town returns on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at The OnSite Group Stadium - PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN DATE FOR THIS MATCH!
Bars/food are available from 1pm so plenty of time to get into the ground early and soak up the pre-match derby atmosphere. There will also be live music to enjoy in the fanzone before the match.
A large crowd is expected for this local derby league match so supporters are being advised to purchase their tickets in advance to avoid the queues at the turnstiles on the day of the game. Supporters are also requested to arrive early for this game to ensure they gain entry to the stadium in good time before kick-off.
Pay on the day entry will be available for this match but the quickest way to gain entry will be to have purchased your ticket in advance.
Great afternoon. Stewards were brilliant right from arrival outside the ground, friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent. As a Fareham supporter only downside was the result. Well done Portchester on a good afternoon out both off and on the pitch.
Great match, but on website states card and cash accepted throughout the stadium but in fanzone bar my friend only had cash and it was not accepted.
Despite hosting the largest ever attendance for a Wessex League fixture, I thought AFC Portchester organised the event very well. Queues at the turnstiles were swiftly dealt with, which meant that supporters were able to access the ground without too much of a delay.
There seemed to be plenty of bars, and outlets for food and drink.
From a neutral point of view, the match itself was a great advert for Wessex League (Step 5) football, and the only disappointment was that no programme was printed for the game. I would have bought five copies myself, for friends in different parts of the country, and I am sure that with such a large crowd, sales would have been good. At least I was able to obtain a teamsheet, so I could see who was playing but, in the absence of a programme, these should have been more readily available.
Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to a welcoming club, who will surely be heading for higher leagues in the not too distant future.
Super day, great staff and a really good atmosphere. The ground is very accessible and excellent value for money
The game itself was a joy to watch, 2 teams playing football in a honest and professional way. A refreshing days football
great day out
shame about the result
Great day at AFC Porchester good atmosphere shame with result
In the El creekio but good to see the local teams generating good crowds
Buying the tickets in advance was a great idea saving queues at the gate. Excellent stewarding outside to guide people through and a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you
Always a great day out a proper club with proper staff and Stewards.
I enjoyed the game which was very tense with both sides equally matched. The crowd was brilliant & for such a small ground not at all congested although it could have done with more catering facilities as waiting times for refreshments were a little long, but difficult to anticipate the crowds. All in all an excellent afternoon’s entertainment & a credit to club’s staff. Thank you. Paul Dopson.
Great day again just shame not a few more bars around ground 20min wait each time for beer is just to long
