Welcome to Pickin’ in Parsons 2026! Join us August 4-8 for five days of incredible bluegrass music, riverside camping, late-night jam sessions, and the kind of friendships that keep folks coming back year after year. Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Parsons, West Virginia, our internationally award-winning festival is built on great music, hardworking volunteers, and a community that treats strangers like old friends. Whether you’re here for the headliners, the picking circles, or simply to relax by the river, we’re honored you’ve chosen to spend your week with us. We can’t wait to make more memories together.

Every evening at 5 pm is a meal break.
Non-service camping is $15 per night. Showers, restrooms, and dump stations available. Generators welcome. Water fill up are now $10.
Camp fires and jamming are always welcome.
Fees listed here are in addition to event tickets. Upon arrival to camp, you must have a ticket for the remainder of the festival.
To camp, you must pay from day of arrival until the morning of Sunday, Aug 9th
No exceptions. This is a no alcohol, family event.
No golf carts, no ATVs, no UTVs
Chairs must be less than 39” to the back to be in the seating area of the festival. Please measure! Chairs may be set at 8 am Tuesday August 4th

I very much enjoyed the music. However, starting with no experience or referral, I thought the campground was sold out. It turned out there were plenty of primitive spaces for my tent. Only the RV sites were all booked. Next time I will know better.

We had a great time this year. We're planning on coming back next year . We may be coming in something different next year. Don't know for sure yet. Keep up the good work.

wonderful music , great covered seating, but with severe pain when walking, we would really love to be able to use a golf cart , waiting for a site with utilities and closer to music.

This festival is the best ever, John and Joyce and the event staff do everything they can to make sure you are enjoying yourself. The place is kept clean all week the portraits are kept clean all the time, very nice big pavilion to sit under . I could go on and on it’s the best and great entertainment and we have our tickets for next year for the week, if you never been I will tell you, you won’t be disappointed..

All basses too LOUD!!! Quality of some of the lowest bass sounds need more scrutiny. Maybe a musical advisor to the sound company.? A lot of the other instrument sounds were too bright. Just my observations.

This festival is run the right way. It is very family friendly with zero tolerance for alcohol and smoking in the concert area. The festival grounds is well kept and always clean. The entertainment is first class with many wonderful bands. As this festival continues to grow, more shelter will be needed but I'm 100% sure that will be addressed.

Excellent event, John & Joyce and their entire staff do everything possible to ensure you have a wonderful time. The talent lineup is amazing, a who’s who of bluegrass artists. Their facility only improves every year. Do not miss this festival if you’re a bluegrass fan!
